Chess4Kids After Autumn Camps

Who is Chess4kids?
Chess4kids is a children chess organisation for kids 5 years and older. Studies show that chess fosters concentration span, critical and strategic thinking and many other relevant skills that help children make their way in life.  Chess also has a strong impact on emotional intelligence since the kids are confronted with winning and loosing without the factor „luck“ and have to face the consequences of their decisions. They learn not to give up and that even in difficult situation there might be a way to change their position and chances to win.
Our vision is to get chess out of the traditional corner and give the kids access to fun and multisensory classes. The kids can discover the character of each chess piece by slipping into the costume and participate in a living chess. For our experienced players we offer our rising star section where they can get special support to show good results at the national tournaments.

What do we offer?
We offer half and whole day chess camps (with early and late care), weekly classes, camps and birthday parties in Zug, Horgen, Zurich-Wollishofen, Oerlikon, Küsnacht. The classes are bilingual (English-German) and are held by experienced trainers in small groups that are separated according to age and level. We also teach in school and kindergarden classes. Our half day camps are purely chess camps, but we combine brain and body activities in our exciting full day camps (i.e. Chess and soccer, Chess and Martial Art).
