Family Networking Event - Spring BBQ - 6 April

After the success of the first Family Brunch at the Bio Hof Zug last autumn, the ZUG4YOU.ch team organized another uplifting and joyful event for the international families living in the Zug area. The day was sunny and warm and the spring air brought the smell of the blooming trees and the near pastures, the freshness of the milking stalls mixed with the smell of the barns. The event reminded the guests in the most romantic and pleasant way about the benefits of living in a country like Switzerland. Beside this wonderful choice of a venue - the Schluechthof in Cham - the ZUG4YOU.ch  team (Natalie Albrecht, Laurene Krüger and Irina Dublin) has taken care of all the possible details turning the event into a memorable experience. While the kids were busy exploring the farm and the variety of playground activities their parents savored the delicious BBQ lunch and the freshly made bread and salads, catered by the Swiss company Apropos. The relaxed atmosphere of the event made people comfortable and easy to talk to, most of them having the chance to meet new friends and families from the international community in the area.

Despite the abundance of delightful desserts and the rich flavoured coffee provided by Mirei, the real treats were kept indeed for the little ones. Laurene who had her magic fairy hat on (together with a pair of very cute bunny ears) had anticipated almost every little kid’s wish that day. There were several stations offering face painting, do-it-yourself baskets for the egg hunt, Easter egg decorations and a mini castle bounce jumper provided by the main sponsor Stepping Stones. There was even a cuddly sweet red fox  Topsy, the mascot of UBS, wandering throughout the inner yard rewarding the kids with small plush presents and warm hugs.

At the end of this blissful afternoon, all guests were looking relaxed and carefree, chilling out in the sun, enjoying the time spent with their kids, having met new friends, feeling cheered and elated on such a lovely Sunday afternoon spent in the nature.
