Pathway to be illuminated again this year

Lights along a one-and-a-half kilometre pathway in Baar will be ceremonially turned on tonight and remain on in the evenings until 3 January.
 
Members of the Lichtenweg Baar Association have spent some time to ensure all 2000 LED lights will be ready for the official turning-on at 6 pm this evening at the point where the pathway starts near Sihlbruggstrasse.
 
Then, at the Heiligchrüz chapel, the Windows brass band will be providing musical entertainment as visitors have the opportunity of sitting down around a bonfire and enjoying mulled wine and sausages. In fact they can even grill their own if they want.
 
After this official opening, the lights will be turned on at dusk every evening and stay on until 11 pm. They are there to be enjoyed by anyone at any time but other events are planned for some evenings, for example when songs will be sung or stories told. Only on Sunday 3 January at 11 pm will they be turned off.
